About Eating Disorders

Eating disorders affect a large number of people. There are three common eating disorders; Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder. Those who are affected by eating disorders become hyperfocused on their weight and their food. Those with Bulimia and Anorexia Nervosa are typically perfectionists who present with low self-esteem.  Most eating disorders are co-occurring with other psychiatric conditions.
